Remove DNS Server
Note: Removing dns server from dns manager is different from removing DNS. If one wants to remove or uninstall DNS see here Remove DNS
Do the following on how to remove DNS server from DNS manager.
1. Open DNS Manager by using the command dnsmgmt.msc
Note: Only users in Administrators group, or equivalent are able to complete this procedure.
The DNS manager is available only on server machines. i.e windows 2003 and windows server 2008.
Do the following on how to remove DNS server from DNS manager.
1. Open DNS Manager by using the command dnsmgmt.msc
2. In the console tree, right click on the DNS server node and click "delete". |
